Κώστας Παναγιωτάκης

Είναι πτυχιούχος του Τμήματος Επιστήμης Υπολογιστών του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης (2001), με Μεταπτυχιακό (2003) και Διδακτορικό Δίπλωμα (2007) από το ίδιο Τμήμα. Είναι συνεργαζόμενο μέλος ΔΕΠ του Ινστιτούτου Πληροφορικής του ΙΤΕ. Εργάστηκε ως Επισκέπτης Καθηγητής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης το διάστημα 2008-12.

Είναι Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής του τμήματος και διευθυντής του Εργαστηρίου Επιχειρηματικής Ευφυΐας (e-bi lab) του Ελληνικού Μεσογειακού Πανεπιστημίου. Έχει συγγράψει περισσότερα από 300 ερευνητικά άρθρα σε έγκριτα επιστημονικά περιοδικά, πρακτικά διεθνών συνεδρίων και κεφάλαια βιβλίων.

Η Στέλλα Κλάδου, PhD., είναι μεταδιδακτορική ερευνήτρια στο Ελληνικό Πανεπιστήμιο της Μεσογείου στην Ελλάδα. Έχει υπηρετήσει ως Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια στο Τμήμα Διοίκησης Τουρισμού στο Πανεπιστήμιο Boğaziçi στην Κωνσταντινούπολη, Τουρκία και ανώτερη Λέκτορας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Sheffield Hallam στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο.

Adjunct Lecturer

Dr Evangelos Taliouris

Evangelos has graduated from the National Kapodestrian University of Athens from the Political Science and Public Administration (2007) department with a specialization in International and European Studies. He obtained a Μaster of Science (2008) in Public Policy and Human development, with specialization in Sustainable Development from the Graduate School of Governance, University of Maastricht. He has a PhD (2014) in political science from the University of Crete and the department of Political Science. The title of his Doctoral Thesis is “Governance, Organization’s and Business Administration and Public Policy for Corporate Social Responsibility”. He has worked as Lecturer in Public Policy and Administration in Hellenic Open University and the Hellenic Mediterranean University (ex TEI of Crete) as well in the courses Public Administration, Administration and Ethics. Moreover, he has worked as research fellow in political science at Technical Educational Institute of Ionian Islands, University of Crete and Athens University of Economy and Business. He is currently working in the Hellenic Ministry of Justice, he is Adjunct Lecturer at Hellenic Mediterranean University and he was Post-Doctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science, University of Crete.

Dr. Nikolaos Trihas

Dr. Nikolaos Trihas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration and Tourism at the Hellenic Mediterranean University in Greece. He is also a tutor at the Hellenic Open University. He holds a PhD in e-Tourism, a Master Degree (M.Sc.) in ‘Tourism Planning, Administration and Policy’, and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of the Aegean, Greece. His research interests include e-tourism, tourism marketing, and special and alternative forms of tourism.

Dr. Markos Kourgiantakis

Dr. Markos Kourgiantakis is an assistant professor at the Department of Business Administration and Tourism, Hellenic Mediterranean University, Crete, Greece. He has extensive experience in the private sector as a business consultant. His research interests focus on e-business, marketing, consumer behaviour and tourism marketing. He has publications on these topics in a range of scientific journals.

Professor of Finance

Professor Christos Floros

Dr. Christos Floros is a Professor of Finance and Vice Rector of Research at the Hellenic Mediterranean University (Greece). His main research interests include behavioural finance, financial derivatives (futures and options markets), financial econometrics (forecasting realized volatility, VaR modelling) and empirical banking (efficiency, competition and profitability). He has published in academic journals such as the European Journal of Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money, Annals of Operations Research, Urban Studies, Manchester School, Applied Economics, Journal of Policy Modeling, International Review of Financial Analysis, Review of Accounting and Finance, Applied Financial Economics, Economic Modelling, Economic Issues, Research in International Business and Finance, Journal of Emerging Market Finance, Global Finance Journal, Journal of Economic Studies, Managerial Finance, Studies in Economics and Finance, Journal of Derivatives and Hedge Funds, Financial Markets and Portfolio Management, Operational Research, among others. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Financial Markets and Derivatives (IJFMD) and Editor of the International Journal of Computational Economics and Econometrics (IJCEE). He has been a Guest Editor for Special Issues, while he has been involved in a number of research funded projects. Christos has presented several papers at international academic conferences, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), and has successfully supervised several PhD students and Post-doc researchers. His recent books with Palgrave Macmillan are on ”Modelling and Forecasting High Frequency Financial Data” (with S. Degiannakis;2015), and “The Greek Debt Crisis” (Eds. Christos Floros, I. Chatziantoniou, 2017).

Associate Professor in Tourism Marketing

Dr Alexandros Apostolakis

Alexandros Apostolakis graduated with a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Economics with Politics from the University of Plymouth, UK in 1999. He carried on with a postgraduate degree (MSc) in Local and Regional Economic Analysis from the University of Portsmouth, UK in 2000 and a PhD degree from the same University in 2005. In parallel to his PhD work, Alexandros was working as a research assistant at the Centre for Local and Regional Analysis (CLREA) in the department of Economics, University of Portsmouth. After the completion of his PhD, Alexandros secured a tenured position as lecturer and then as senior lecturer at the department of Economics, at the University of Portsmouth, UK. In 2011 Alexandros joined the (then) Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Crete. Currently, Alexandros is an associate professor in Tourism Marketing at the Department of Business Administration and Tourism, Hellenic Mediterranean University.

Dr Alexandros Garefalakis

“Alexandros Garefalakis is Certified Public Accountant (Fellow of CPA), Management Accountant (CMA Diploma) and Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Business Administration and Tourism at Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU) in Greece. He holds a degree in Financial Applications, a Master degree in Accounting and Finance from University of Southampton and PhD in Accounting from Hellenic Open University. He has co-authored 6 books on Audit Accounting, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Research Methods for Business issues. He has more than 85 publications in peer reviewed journals and participation in more than 24 national and international conferences. As well, he has been awarded first prize in innovation competition “”Young Businessman”” for the Intelligent Qualitative Analysis Database (AIQAD) and the Ma.Co.I index he has developed at 2003.
His areas of research interest include the Disclosure Narrative information, ESG, I.F.R.S, Management Commentary Index (Ma.Co.I), Auditing, Quality of Financial Statements, Weighting models in Accounting, Accounting and Operation Research, Multiple Criteria Decision‐Making in Management Accounting.”
